The glitter leather hair bow tutorial is such a fun one because there are all of these new faux leather sheets I keep seeing everywhere that I just have to get my hands on! This faux leather bow tutorial includes a FREE pattern download! The faux leather bows are fabulous because I can simply cut them out and use them to make all sorts of hair bows from just one sheet! You can mix and match the colors to make any color combination of the 3 pieces! In this tutorial, I decided to use the magenta!
My daughter really loves these bows because they are so versatile and work perfectly in her hair to match her cute outfits!
Gather the supplies you need:
Glitter leather sheets We have lots of different styles of fabric sheets available in our shop. Faux leather sheets, glitter sheets, and star transparent sheets.
Bow pattern (see below)
First, print out your bow template. Then, cut out your 3 pieces.
Next, cut out your template pieces and make sure to warm up your hot glue. Start with the bow center, and fold the 2 halves together, wrong sides together. Put a dab of hot glue in the center of your bow. Then, put your sides in the middle of the bow.
Next, get your bow tails and put hot glue in the center. Now place your bow on top and in the center of the tails.
Lastly, grab your bow center and put some glue on the back of the bow. Then, wrap your bow center around the bow. Finally, put more glue on the back of the bow and finish putting the bow center on the back of your bow.
Okay, now grab your lined alligator clip, and hot glue it to the back of your bow. (If you need to learn how to line an alligator clip, see this video here…
And that’s it! It’s such a simple project to complete! Practice using different colors, styles, and patterns to make many different combinations of hair bows! Let me know how yours turned out in the comments below!
